Ingredients
Hot Honey Sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
1½ tbsp Saunders’ Malt Extract
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
Stir-Fry
800g chicken breast, sliced
1–2 tbsp oil
3 cups broccoli florets
2 cups capsicum, sliced
1½ cups carrot, sliced
1½ cups snow peas
salt and pepper
2–3 tsp Saunders’ Malt Extract (for drizzling)
Method
Whisk the soy sauce, honey, malt extract, vinegar and chilli flakes together in a small bowl to make the hot honey sauce.
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook until lightly golden. Add the vegetables and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Pour in the hot honey sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring, until everything is coated and glossy.
Finish the stir-fry with a light drizzle of Saunders Malt Extract to add shine and a deeper caramel note. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
Tip: For extra heat, add fresh sliced chilli when serving, or for a milder version, reduce the quantity of chilli flakes in the sauce.
