Malted Protein Waffles



Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, these high-protein waffles blend cottage cheese, vanilla protein and Saunders' Malt Extract for a healthy, satisfying breakfast or snack.

Ingredients
2 cups self-raising flour or pancake/waffle mix
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup cottage cheese
2 scoops (30g each) vanilla protein powder
2 tbsp Saunders' Malt Extract
1 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract
2 eggs
½ cup milk
Pinch sea salt
Method
Preheat waffle maker.
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth and thick.
Pour batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden and crisp.
Serve with yoghurt, berries or a drizzle of Saunders’ Malt Extract.
Tip:
Use slightly less milk for extra-crispy waffles, or add a splash more for a softer, fluffier inside.
